As the day concludes, we will transfer you to Thimphu for an overnight stay.

Experience a full day of cultural richness in Thimphu, beginning with a visit to the National Memorial Chorten, a beautiful stupa symbolizing Bhutan's Buddhist faith. Next, explore the historic Changangkha Temple and Drubthob Monastery, where you can witness the tranquil atmosphere of the Zilukha Nunnery. If time allows, visit the Takin nursing pen to meet Bhutan’s national animal and enjoy the scenic beauty of Tashichhodzong. Alternatively, embark on a hike to Cheri Monastery, perched high above the valley, where you can immerse yourself in its sacred ambiance and stunning views. After a picnic lunch by the pristine Thimphu River, we will continue our journey through picturesque villages before returning to Thimphu for the night.

Leave Thimphu and drive through scenic landscapes before beginning your hike to Tashigang Goenpa, an ancient monastery nestled in the mountains. The trail offers a gradual ascent through enchanting forests, eventually leading you to the 18th-century Lungchutse Lhakhang, where breathtaking views of the Bhutan Himalayas await. Following your hike, we will descend to Dochula Pass, marked by 108 chortens and spectacular vistas of snow-capped peaks. A short drive will take us down into the lush Punakha Valley, where you will spend the night at your hotel, soaking in the serene surroundings.

Begin your day with a visit to Punakha Dzong, a majestic fortress sitting at the confluence of the Mo Chu and Pho Chu rivers, revered as the winter residence of Bhutan's monastic community. Marvel at the intricate architectural details and the stunning temple inside, a true testament to traditional Bhutanese craftsmanship. Then, embark on a hike through terraced rice fields to Khamsum Yueley Namgyal Chorten, a beautiful stupa offering panoramic views. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch along the riverside before visiting a local farmhouse for an authentic Bhutanese cooking demonstration, where you’ll learn about traditional practices and savor local delicacies. End the day with a leisurely walk through charming villages before returning to your hotel.

This morning, set off for Trongsa, stopping along the way to admire the historical Chendebji Chorten, a significant structure built in the 18th century. As you approach Trongsa, enjoy stunning views of the imposing Trongsa Dzong, the ancestral home of Bhutan’s royal family, perched dramatically over a deep canyon. Take in the breathtaking landscapes as we wind through picturesque roads. Arriving in Trongsa, you will have the evening to relax and soak in the ambiance of this historic town.

After breakfast, we will drive to Phobjikha Valley, navigating through enchanting oak and rhododendron forests. Known as a glacial valley, Phobjikha serves as the winter home for the Black-Necked Cranes, making it a true wildlife paradise. Visit the Phobjikha Sanctuary to catch a glimpse of these magnificent birds (seasonal) and explore Gangtey Gompa, the only Nyingmapa monastery in western Bhutan, rich in history and spiritual significance. You will spend the night in the serene surroundings of Phobjikha, embracing its tranquil beauty.

Embark on an adventurous hike to Longtey Village, traversing the stunning landscapes of Kayche La Pass. This scenic trail showcases Bhutan’s diverse flora and fauna, leading you to meadows and breathtaking views. Alternatively, choose the Shasila hike, an ancient route once used by the Gangtey Truelku, offering a glimpse into the historical migration patterns of local communities. After your hike, your driver will meet you for the journey back to Thimphu. Spend the night at your hotel in Phobjikha, reflecting on your journey.

Today, we will drive back to Paro, stopping at the scenic Dochula Pass for stunning views and a chance to visit Thimphu's local handicraft shops. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, savoring Bhutanese flavors. En route, visit Semtokha Dzong, the oldest fortress in Bhutan, and explore its rich history. Time permitting, we may stop by Tamchhu Lhakhang, famous for its unique iron bridge, before heading back to Paro for a restful night at your hotel.

Your day begins with a hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery, perched majestically on a cliff 900 meters above the Paro valley. The trail offers stunning views as you ascend, with options for a horse ride if needed. This revered site is significant in Bhutanese culture, believed to be the meditation retreat of Guru Rinpoche, who brought Buddhism to Bhutan. After your visit, enjoy a leisurely lunch and then head to the reconstructed Drukgyel Dzong, where you can soak in spectacular views of Mount Jomolhari. Wrap up your day with additional sightseeing in Paro before returning to your hotel.
